Observed on September 21st every year, World Alzheimer's Day aims at raising awareness around the warning signs of dementia.
This year’s theme is “Know dementia, know Alzheimer's.” It aims to highlight the importance of support for people living with dementia and families following a diagnosis.
Alzheimer's is the most common form of dementia and constitutes 60-70% of cases. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are currently 55 million people living with dementia worldwide.
